Editing Toolbox: Non-Destructive Dodging & Burning
Jan 14, 2022With Craig Turner-Bullock
One of the most effective ways you can focus the viewers attention on areas of the image you want them to look at is by painting with light. This can be used very effectively in two different ways;
1: To enhance the light in any image
2: To showcase or hide a specific part of the image.
The easiest way to paint with light is by dodging and burning in Photoshop. In this video I’m going to show you a quick non-destructive technique for dodging and burning in Photoshop. When I say non destructive, I basically mean that I'm not changing the image directly so I don’t lose quality in the pixels.
